প্রদর্শনীবস্ত্তটির সুইচ টিপে ডিস্কটি ঘুরিয়ে দিয়ে তারপর আস্তে আস্তে নবটি ঘুরিয়ে এক এক করে সঙ্গীতের আটটি সুর শোনা যায়।

কারণ: সুইচ টেপামাত্র উচ্চ চাপে হাওয়া সূচী মুখনল দিয়ে বের হয়ে ডিস্কে আঘাত করে। যখন যে বৃত্তের পরিধির উপর মুখনলটি রাখা হয় তখন সেই পরিধি বরাবর ছিদ্রগুলি দিয়ে হাওয়া নিচে নেমে যেতে পারে। ছিদ্রগুলি একটি নির্দিষ্ট দুরত্বে আছে এবং ছিদ্রদিয়ে নির্দিষ্ট সময় পরপর হাওয়া যাওয়ার ফলে নির্দিষ্ট কম্পাঙ্কের শব্দ তৈরি করে। যে পরিধির উপর ছিদ্র সংখ্যা যত বেশি হবে সেখানে ততবেশি

কম্পাঙ্কের শব্দ বেশি হবে।

Observe   that the disc   has 8 circles, each circle having a   certain number of equally spaced holes.

Now   press the switch to turn the disc on. Turn the knob   slowly and   hear 8 notes

Of music.  When you press the switch, compressed   air comes out of the   nozzle and strikes    the rotating disc.  When the jet of   air is set on   a particular circle   of   holes, air is allowed   to pass through   the holes at regular intervals. This gives out   a note   the frequency of   which   depends on the spacing   of the holes and    rotational of the disc. By   turning   the knob, the jet    of   air is made to strike   different   circles   of holes   giving out different notes.

Also   observe   that when the air nozzle is placed on the outer most circles of   holes a   noise is produced.
