ভর যে বরাবর পৃথিবীর কেন্দ্রের দিকে আকর্ষণ করে তাকে ঐ বস্তুর ভারকেন্দ্র বলে। আপনি দুই পায়ের উপর ভর করে দাঁড়ালে শরীরের ভার নাক ও নাভির সংযোগ সরলরেখা বরাবর পৃথিবীর কেন্দ্রের দিকে আকর্ষণ করে। স্বাভাবিকভাবে যেকোনো এক পায়ের উপর ভর করতে গেলে শরীর সামান্য বাঁকা হয়ে ভারসাম্য অবস্থার সৃষ্টি করে। দেয়ালের সমান্তরালে স্পর্শ করে দাঁড়ানোর কারণে আপনার শরীর দেয়ালের দিকে বাঁকা করতে পারছেন না। যে কারণে আপনি আপনার পা তুলতে পারছেন না।

When you lean on one of the legs normally, the body bends slightly and creates a balance. You can't bend your body against the wall because it touches the wall. That's why you can't lift your legs.
