গারমাছ

গারমাছ  লম্বা নলাকৃতির পার্শ্বীয়ভাবে চাপা মাছ, যা প্রায় ৫০  সেমি (২০ থেকে ৩০ ইঞ্চি) পর্যন্ত বৃদ্ধি পায়। চোয়াল এবং ধারালো দাঁতের সঙ্গে সংযুক্ত। বক্ষীয়, পৃষ্ঠীয় এবং পায়ুপাখনা দেহের পিছন দিকে অবস্থিত । রূপালী  ধূসর উদরের সাথে নীল সবুজ বর্ণের দেহ,অস্থিগুলো সবুজ বর্ণের।                  

Garfish

The garfish is a long and slender fish with a laterally compressed body and grows to about 50 cm (20 to 30 inch) in length. The jaws are elongated and armed with sharp teeth. The pectoral, dorsal, and anal fins are situated well back on the body. The colour of the body is bluish green with a silvery grey belly and the bones are green.
