গলদা চিংড়ি

গলদা চিংড়ি নদীর বড় চিংড়ি বা স্বাদুপানির চিংড়িটি প্যালিওমনিডি পরিবারের বাণিজ্যিকভাবে গুরুত্বপূর্র্ণ স্বাদুপানির চিংড়ি প্রজাতি । এটি গ্রীষ্মমন্ডলীয় এবং উপগ্রীষ্মমন্ডলীয় এলাকা, যেমন ভারত থেকে দক্ষিণ-পূর্ব এশিয়া যেমন বাংলাদেশ, পাকিস্তান, শ্রীলংকাতে পাওয়া যায়। বাংলাদেশে এটি গলদা চিংড়ি হিসাবে পরিচিত। এটি লম্বায় ৩০ সে.মি. এরও বেশি হয়। স্ত্রী গলদা চিংড়িকে পুরুষ গলদা চিংড়ি হতে সহজে আলাদা করা যায় তাদের প্রশস্ত উদর এবং ক্ষুদ্রাকৃতির দ্বিতীয় পেরিওপোডস দেখে।

Prawn

Golda chingri also know as the gaint river prawn or giant fresh water prawn is a commercially important species of palaemonid fresh water prawn.It is found throughout the tropical and subtropical areas from India to Southeast Asia like Bangladesh, Pakistan. Locally, it is known as Golda chingri in Bangladesh. It can grow to a length over 30cm. Female can be distinguished from males by their wider abdomens and smaller second pereiopodes.
