এটা একটা বড় আকারের মডেল স্লাইড ক্যালিপার্স। এটা শুধুমাত্র প্রদর্শন কাজে ব্যবহৃত হয়। স্লাইড ক্যালিপার্স দৈর্ঘ্যরে ভগ্নাংশকে আরও সঠিকভাবে বের করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। যা সাধারণ স্কেলে সম্ভব নয়। যেকোন স্লাইড ক্যালির্পাসের দুটি স্কেল থাকে যা প্রধান স্কেল ও ভার্নিয়ার স্কেল। প্রধান স্কেলের ক্ষুদ্রতম এক ভাগ দৈর্ঘ্য থেকে ভার্নিয়ার স্কেলের ক্ষুদ্রতম এক ভাগের দৈর্ঘ্য বিয়োগ করলে ঐ বিয়োগফলকে বলা হয় ভার্নিয়ার ধ্রুব, তাহলে কোন বস্তুর  প্রকৃত দৈর্ঘ্য পূর্বের ফর্মূলা হতে বের করা যায়:

বস্তুর প্রকৃত দৈর্ঘ্য = প্রধান স্কেলের পাঠ + ভার্নিয়ার স্কেলের পাঠ    ভার্নিয়ার  ধ্রুব P ভ্রান্তি।

This is a big model of slide calipers. This is used only for demonstration purpose. Slide calipers is used to determine the fraction part of the length more accurately which is not possible from a simple scale. Any slide calipers has two scales which are main scale and venire scale. The value obtained from the length of smallest division of main scale minus that of venire scale is said to be venire constant. Then actual length of an object can be found from the following formula.

Actual length of an object = Main scale reading + venire scale reading  venire constant P Error.
