শব্দ চলাচলের জন্য একটি নির্দিষ্ট মাধ্যমের প্রয়োজন। বায়ু মাধ্যমে কথা বললে সেই শব্দ আমাদের চারপাশে ছড়িয়ে পড়ায় এর তীব্রতা কম হয়। কিন্তু পাইপের মধ্যে দিয়ে শব্দ করলে তা চারপাশে ছড়াতে পারেনা বলে এর তীব্রতা বেশি হয়। পাইপের মধ্যে দিয়ে শব্দ  করলে তা বেশি সময়ের প্রয়োজন হয়।

Specific media need for sound system. When we talk in the air without media that time our words spread in the air. As a result sound decrease sharpness. But sound moves on in the pipe it’s never spread and gather more sharpness. Flowing sound in the pipe across more distance need to more time.
