স্কুইলা

স্কুইলা মেনটিস  হচ্ছে মেনটিস চিংড়ি এর একটি প্রজাতি যা ভূ-মধ্যসাগরীয় অগভীর উপকূলবর্তী এলাকা এবং পূর্ব-আটলান্টিক মহাসাগরে পাওয়া যায়। এরা পেছেরো নামেও পরিচিত । এটি দেখতে  বাদামী বর্ণের হলেও চোখের দুটি বাদামী দাগ এবং লেজের শেষপ্রান্তে সাদা বর্ণের বৃত্ত উপস্থিত । এটি ভূ-মধ্যসাগরের সমগ্র উপকূলে এবং আটলান্টিক মহাসাগরের দক্ষিণে ক্যাডিজ থেকে অ্যাঙ্গোলা পর্যন্ত, এছাড়াও ক্যানারি দ্বীপ এবং মেডেইরা অঞ্চলে পাওয়া যায়। এটি বঙ্গোপসাগরের উপকূলবর্তী এলাকায় ম্যানগ্রোভ অঞ্চলে বেশি পাওয়া যায়।                                             

Squila

Squila mantis is a species of mantis shrimp found in shallow coastal areas of the Mediterranean sea and the Eastern Atlantic ocen. It is also known as pacchero. It is generally dull brown in colouration , but has two brown eye spots, circled in white at the base of  the telson . It is found around the  entire coast ot the Mediterranean and in the Atlantic Ocean south from the Gulf of cadiz to Angola, as well as around the Canary Island and Medeira . It is found more in the mangrove region of the coastal area of the Bay of Bengal.
