চোলা পুঁটি

চোলা পুঁটি বাংলাদেশের উত্তর-পূর্বাঞ্চলে  সবচেয়ে বেশী দেখতে পাওয়া যায় । বাংলা শব্দ পুঁটি (pungti) থেকে pungti শব্দটি নেয়া হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশের উত্তর পূর্বাঞ্চলে সবচেয়ে বেশি দেখতে পাওয়া যায়। উপকূলবর্তী কেরালা এবং তামিলনাড়ু অঞ্চলে এদের পাওয়া যায় । বাংলাদেশ , ভারত , পাকিস্তান, শ্রীলঙ্কা , নেপাল  ও  মায়ানমারে এদের পাওয়া যায় । এদের দেহ চাপা ও গভীর ।

Swamp barb

Swamp barb is most commonly seen in the northeast of Bangladesh. Puntius is derived from the Bangla word pungti. Most of them are seen in the northeast of Bangladesh .They are found in coastal areas of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. They are found in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Nepal, and Myanmar. The body of  swamp barb is light and deep.
