সালামান্ডার টিকটিকির মত দেখতে উভচর দলের সদস্য,নলাকৃতির দেহ, ভোঁতা তুন্ড,কেদিখাটো পা দেহের ডান, ঢুকানো এবং প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক সালামান্ডা ও লার্ভাতে লেজ থাকে।বর্তমান সালামান্ডা পরিবারটি ইউরোডেলা পরিবারের অন্তর্ভূক্ত।

Salamander

Salamanders  are a group of amphibians typically characterized by a lizard-like appearance, with slender bodies, blunt snouts, short limbs projecting at right angles to the body, and the presence of a tail in both larvae and adults animals. All present-day salamander families are grouped together under the order Urodela.
