মেছো বাঘ

মেছো বাঘ, স্থানীয়ভাবে এর নাম গো-বাঘা। একসময় দেশজুড়েই ছিল এদের বিচরণ। তবে এখন প্রাকৃতিক বন বাদে অন্যত্র মেছো বাঘ মহা বিপন্ন অবস্থায় আছে। লেজ বাদে শরীরের মাপ ৭০-৮০ সেন্টিমিটার। লেজের মাপ ৬০-৬৫ সেন্টিমিটার। ওজন ১২-১৫ কেজি।মেছো বাঘ বছরে দুবার বাচ্চা দেয়। এদের বাচ্চা পোষা যায়। বাংলাদেশে এখনও সুন্দরবনসহ বৃহত্তর সিলেট ও চট্টগ্রামের পাহাড়ি বনে মেছো বাঘের দেখা মেলে।

Fishing cat , locally known as Go-Bagha. Once upon a time, they were roaming around the country. But now apart from the natural forest, this species is very endanger. apart from the tail ,The body size is 70-80 centimeters. Tail size is 60-65 centimeters. Weight is 12-15 kg. They breed twice a year. The baby goes to pet. It is found in the hills of greater Sylhet and Chittagong, including the Sundarbans in Bangladesh.
