প্রদর্শনীবস্তুটির ছিদ্র পথে এক এক করে সব কটি দণ্ড ছিদ্রপথে নিচে ফেলা হল। সব কটি দণ্ড সাথে সাথে নিচে পড়লেও একটি দণ্ড পড়তে বিলম্ব করে।

কারণ : এলুমিনিয়াম  টিউবটি এখানে একটি মাত্র পাকের তড়িৎ কুণ্ডলীর মত কাজ করে। ছোট দন্ডগুলির মধ্যে যেটি চুম্বক সেটি নিচে পড়ার সময় কুণ্ডলীর ছিদ্রের মধ্যে জোরালো শর্টসার্কিট এসি কারেন্ট প্রবাহিত হয়। ঐ বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহ দ্বারা আবিষ্ট চৌম্বক ক্ষেত্রকে বাধা দান করে। ফলে চুম্বকটি নিচে নামতে বিলম্ব হয়।  

Drop all the   small   pieces one by one through the hole of the    aluminium tube. All but one reaches the bottom of the tube almost instantly. Only one piece takes more time to fall.  Touch   all   pieces on the iron frame. What do you find? The piece that takes longer to fall is magnet.The aluminium tube acts as a single turn coil .A magnet falling through it induces strong short circuiting current in the tube .This current gives rise to a new magnetic field which opposes the field of the falling magnet. This opposition is responsible for slowing   down the falling magnet
