ছত্রাক হল এককোষী বা বহুকোষী সুকেন্দ্রিক জীব, যারা সালোকসংশ্লেষণের মাধ্যমে শর্করা তৈরি করতে পারে না এবং যাদের দৃঢ় কোষপ্রাচীর আছে। ছত্রাক ইউক্যারিওটিক কোষ দ্বারা গঠিত। বহুকোষী ছত্রাক অসংখ্য সরু  সুতোর মত অংশ নিয়ে গঠিত। এগুলোকে হাইফা বলে। এগুলো একত্রিত হয়ে মাইসেলিয়াম গঠন করে।

Fungus is the unicellular or multicellular well-being which can not form carbohydrate through photosynthesis and has strong cell wall. The formation of Fungus is composed of eukaryotic cells. These are called Hypha. These combine to form Mycelium.
